Town and Country: Our 2025 Year in Review.
As 2025 comes to a close, we’re proud to reflect on a record-breaking year for Town & Country. Supported by our network of Property Auction Specialists and the continued trust of our buyers, sellers and partners, we’ve delivered our strongest performance to date.
In the past year, we have raised over £135 million through property sales and facilitated more than 10,000 bids across our platform. These achievements mark our highest annual total to date and reflect the sustained confidence placed in Town & Country.
We sold a wide range of properties this year, from caves to country homes. Let’s take a look at some of the highlights.

The Frodsham Caves generated significant interest on social media. A truly unique lot, it captured the attention of buyers nationwide and demonstrated the appetite for distinctive and unconventional properties. Offered in our December auction, it went on to sell for £11,000 above the guide price.

An exceptional and rarely available freehold property offering 6,300 sq ft of elegant, flexible space in the heart of the historic village of Ripley. Formerly home to a Michelin-starred restaurant, this landmark building is rich in character and heritage, presenting a prime opportunity for buyers seeking a property with limitless potential. Following the auction, it was successfully sold post-auction reflecting the strong demand for rare and distinctive assets.

An extremely rare opportunity, this landmark marine property — the former Lifeboat Station for the village of Moelfre — is steeped in history and boasts direct water frontage with a slipway. The lot attracted national TV and online press coverage, highlighting its uniqueness and heritage. It drew 64 competitive bids and ultimately sold for £63,000 above the guide price.

One of the most competitive lots of the year, this prime high street property attracted 299 bids and sold for £353,000 above the guide price. Set over three floors, it comprises a commercial premises on the ground floor and basement — currently occupied as a beauty salon — with two residential units above, offering a strong, versatile investment opportunity in a sought-after location.

Auctions continue to deliver excellent results for properties requiring renovation. A unique detached family home needed complete renovation on a premier road and set in a quite location of BH3.

A substantial Burnley property portfolio, comprising both tenanted and vacant units, achieved excellent results at auction, underscoring the effectiveness of auctions for selling large-scale property portfolios securely.

Auctions are becoming an increasingly popular method for selling properties of all types, due to the security of sale and speed. A prime example of this trend is a prestigious six-bedroom detached home in Solihull, which perfectly demonstrates how high-value properties can attract strong interest and achieve excellent results through the auction process.

Nestled within the highly sought-after village of The Hoo, Shropshire, this Grade II Listed Farmhouse presented a truly exceptional opportunity. Steeped in history and brimming with character, the property generated strong interest immediately, resulting in a quick and secure sale.

Dol-Llan Mansion House a magnificent, fully refurbished period property set within 1.5 acres of formal gardens and private woodland, overlooking the town of Llandysul and its historic 12th-century church was sold prior to Auction.

Renovation properties continue to prove as popular as ever at auction. A character-filled home in need of renovation, located on one of Marple’s most prestigious roads, offered an exciting opportunity for buyers eager to put their stamp on a unique property.

A superb and rare opportunity in a popular residential area of Wrexham, this Grade II Listed Plas Newydd sits on an impressive plot and includes several later buildings, outbuildings, and extensive grounds. The property offers incredible potential for buyers looking to create a significant development, subject to the necessary consents.
Company Highlights

Paul Burley, Paul Doran-Jones, and Callum Thomas from our London office successfully completed the Three Peaks Challenge, raising an impressive £12,535 for the Royal Air Forces Association Wrekin—a charity that is very close to the team’s hearts.
The challenge pushed them to their limits: 24 hours of intense physical endurance, battling soaking rain, 60mph winds, and minimal sleep. It was a truly demanding task, but their determination and teamwork saw them through to the finish.

We were thrilled to see Dale Cox from our Manchester office feature on Homes Under The Hammer, showcasing his expertise and passion for property. It was fantastic to see him in action, sharing insights on the market.
